Please pray for his parents, Keith and Carolyn Maupin, who are beacons of hope and pillars of strength in our community.

And just in case anyone has forgotten, Matt was captured by terrorists.

I cannot, no matter how hard I try, get my mind around just how brave Matt and his parents must be. When I see that photo of him sitting in front of his captors. . when I see his mother giving an angelic smile in a photo. . amazing. Heroes in a legendary sense. You read about people like this. . but when you try to imagine actually being in their shoes. Impossible. These people are of the very foundation of our country. Bearing our burdens. Weight I cannot imagine. God bless them.
