Our Italian Friends in Freedom & Liberty Ask for Assistance

Two of my friends from the Italian blogosphere, Otimaster and Bisqui sent a plea to me. I ask that you visit both of them.

If you can't read Italian (like me) please use Babelfish (also located on my sidebar) to interpret.

Graci!

"Give a little Help to your Italian friends

Our country has a new government which pretend itself democratic but is trying to move into a socialist dictatorship.

Violations of the rules of the democracy happens every day and the magistracy is used as an arm against the political opponents.
The Communists that are 60% of the coalition of left want to vote against the financing of the military missions in Afghanistan and Iraq, sorry if we will not be able to respect the promises made to your country.
The commanders of our Internal Security Services who helped the CIA to capture a terrorist are now moved from their role and inquires because what they did has been considered illegal.
The government has moved the commanders of the financial police that were inquiring on the red cooperatives.
These are some of the things that happen in our country.
Please read our blog for further information, if you want publish our appeal, take it read to your politicians, help us to convince our politicians to respect the democracy."

And ask to your friend to publicize that post?

I appreciate the situation over there, but think we have quite a battle on our hands here against enemies within, for if our democracy perishes - Europe and all the rest will be swept under.

Mark: I don't think the Italian blogger that sent me the email below will mind if I publish it anonymously. He will speak up and be heard if he so decides. Understand this, Italian bloggers run the risk of getting in trouble for writing about their beliefs...

We need our allies... who will stand beside us in our fight against terrorism and Islamofascism if they fall one by one?

Cathy,
50,1% of Italian people love US end americans but 49,9% not.
The percentage came fron the last political elections. 49,9% are leftist and as you know they won. The our governement is one of the most communist governement after the ex URSS. Their are occupying all the most importan post of the hierarchy, the vital ganglia of the republic. They are like the cancer, you know? Most of our leftist parliamentarians have become graduated in ex DDR, URSS and Czechoslovakia. Some of them are ex terrorist and some palestinian naturalizated. All the leftist in Italy hate US and americans and love Cuba, Fidel Castro, El Che guevara, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao tze tung and now Chavez and the Spanish president.

In 2 or 3 years we will be behind a new iron curtain.

The other 50,1% love the liberty and obviously US. We have un'image of your nation as the firs real democracy of the world. Our goal is have the same democracy in Italy and we lokk at US as an older brother to follow and imitate. We are really entusiastic to be friend and ally of US and actually we risk every day our incolumity for the liberty ideal. But I'm pessimist, I think we will jump back in the worst communism ever like Cuba. Here the democracy is in a real danger but who belive us? If I come in USA and ask for political asylum somebody belive me?

I will leave you with this:

First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.
